Art at Vibe was founded by Free Brown, a licensed psychotherapist with more than 25 years of experience in social services, drug addiction treatment, and community mental health. Her work has spanned youth group homes, detox programs, county, state, and federal reentry, homelessness outreach in shelters and on the streets, HIV clinics, labor and delivery units with substance-exposed infants, teen addiction treatment, senior services, suicide prevention, work with the persistently mentally ill, private practice, hospitals, and tech-sector wellness initiatives.

Across decades of practice, one pattern remained consistent: isolation, lack of expression, absence of caring community, and limited opportunities for meaningful contribution compound harm. When people are reduced to survival, productivity, or consumption alone, wellbeing erodes. Art is a response to this reality.

Her goal for Art at Vibe is to create space where joy becomes resistance, and where connection, creativity, and purpose are restored as essential conditions for individual and collective health.
